Loan Repayment Demand Letter

Document Summary

This letter is used to demand payment of the loan amount which is overdue. The letter states that in case of failure to pay the overdue loan amount, legal proceedings may be initiated against the borrower.

Description

According to Article 715 of Federal Law No. 5 of 1985 on the Civil Transactions Law (as amended), a loan may be granted on condition of a pledge or guarantee.

Article 719 of the same states that:

1. the borrower is bound, upon expiry of the loan period, to restitute a thing equal in amount, kind and quality, at the agreed time and place, regardless of whatever change may occur to its value.
2. If restitution of a similar thing reveals to be impossible, the lender's right shall accrue to its value on the day received.
