This is an agreement between a service provider (who provides a ticketing service) and a promoter (who is using the service), whereby the service provider provides ticketing services to the promoter for an event organized by the promoter.
The agreement outlines the terms of the ticketing service, including the guarantee payment that the service provider will make to the promoter, and the payments that the service provider will receive from ticket sales.
The Promoter has several obligations in this agreement:
Firstly, the promoter agrees to guarantee a certain percentage of the saleable capacity of the event to the Service Provider, with certain exclusions.
Secondly, the Promoter must indemnify and hold the Service Provider harmless from any losses resulting from incorrect information provided by the Promoter.
Finally, the Promoter is solely responsible for organizing the event and setting ticket prices.
In the Emirate of Dubai, before hosting an event, a permit from Dubai Economy and Tourism is required. Companies wishing to use their own ticketing systems to sell tickets electronically must integrate with Dubai Economy and Tourism e-ticketing API.
The issuance of event tickets is governed by Dubai Decree No. 25 of 2013 on the Electronic System for Licensing Events, and marketing and Distributing Tickets in the Emirate of Dubai.
