This annual leave policy can be used by a company to set out the terms of applying for annual leave and entitlements during annual leave. It also sets out the terms of carrying over the annual leave to the following year.
According to paragraph 5 of article 29 of Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021 on Regulation of Labour Relations, the employee may, with the approval of the employer and in accordance with the applicable regulations in the company, carry over the balance of his annual leave, or days thereof, to the following year.
Employees are entitled to 30 calendar days of annual leave after completing one year of continuous service for the employer.
